Responsibilities
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate expense forecasting cycles.
- Lead the annual budgeting process in partnership with department leaders.
- Prepare and assist with executive and department reporting packages.
- Conduct variance analysis against budget and prior periods with clear narrative explanations.
- Present budget analysis to department leaders and senior leadership.
- Support automation initiatives to streamline reporting and reduce manual effort.
- Perform data validation to ensure accuracy and integrity across financial systems.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and analyses as business needs evolve.

- Financial Acumen:
- Solid understanding of the three financial statements.
- Basis knowledge of unit economics to form and support underlying drivers.
- Operational mindset in realizing effective impact of current and changes in spend behavior.
- Delineating between capitalized, fixed, and variable costs and their effect in an acquisitive business.
- Data Analytics & Technology:
- Leverages advanced Excel, Adaptive Planning, and Power BI to build robust models and reporting.
- Comfortable working with large datasets and transforming raw data into clean, reportable outputs.
- Proactively seeks opportunities to leverage AI tools to automate manual workstreams and improve efficiency.
- Identifies and resolves data inconsistencies before they impact reporting outcomes.
- Stays current on emerging tools and technologies that can enhance finance team capabilities.

Required Education And Experience
- 2 – 4 years of accounting, finance, business analytics experience.
- CPA or CFA, a plus.
- Education focused on accounting, finance, data analytics, or similar studies.
- Experience of a PE backed company or similar exposure to a growth / scale-oriented environment.
- Reside in the Birmingham, AL area and work onsite.
