Position Overview The Corporate Security & Safety Manager leads and oversees all security and workplace safety operations for the logistics center. This role manages on‑site contract security personnel, security systems, investigations, loss prevention programs, and serves as the primary liaison with law enforcement and carrier security partners. The position also champions the continuous improvement, compliance, and sustainability of the site's health and safety program, ensuring employees are protected from workplace hazards, injury, and illness. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Security & Loss Prevention Manage, coordinate, and direct all activities of the on‑site contract security team, including guard operations, access control, alarms, CCTV, recording equipment, and perimeter controlEnsure compliance with corporate security and loss prevention policies; prevent, identify, and report theft or loss of company property or timeConduct random quality control and loss prevention audits across receiving, put away, picking, packing, shipping, and CPU processesPerform investigations into missing product, suspected criminal activity, fraud, and policy violations, coordinate findings with law enforcement and senior managementReview CCTV footage related to investigations and maintain detailed logs of tape changesAct as liaison between TD SYNNEX, local carriers, and carrier security personnelMaintain ongoing relationships with local law enforcement agencies and respond to security incidents as needed Security Systems & Audits Complete weekly Physical Security Protocol audits, including inspections of door contacts, motion detectors, photoelectric transmitters/receivers, and alarm systemsEnsure all security systems are operational, including radio and telephone communicationsCoordinate repairs of inoperative security equipment with Maintenance or approved subcontractorsConduct monthly alarm testing with the Central Monitoring Station and document all alarm activations, including false alarmsBe available to respond to alarm activations on weekends and holidays Guard Force & Training Coordinate all security guard operations and ensure performance and service qualityConduct regular training for contract guards to ensure understanding and enforcement of current TD SYNNEX security policiesHold weekly meetings with the contract security captainProvide ongoing loss prevention and security training to TD SYNNEX employees Inventory & Audit Oversight Partner with Inventory Control on investigations involving missing productParticipate in quarterly physical inventories and investigate significant variancesConduct random security cycle counts of high‑risk ("hot") items independent of Inventory ControlPrepare weekly error and audit reports documenting discrepancies and variances Safety & Compliance Partner with the Safety Department to improve and sustain the site's integrated health and safety management systemManage safety audits to ensure compliance with federal, state, OSHA, and company policiesEnsure required safety postings are maintained and updated on the internal safety intranetManage job hazard analyses, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify and mitigate hazardsOversee the incident investigation process and serve as the final decision authority for fault‑based determinationsTrack, review, and analyze injury and illness data to identify trends and recommend safety improvementsMaintain the Illness and Injury Hazard Log and corrective/preventive actionsLead the Safety Committee to ensure regulatory and company requirements are metEnsure purchased and installed equipment meets OSHA and company safety standardsServe as on‑site safety liaison for government agencies and regulatory audits Additional Responsibilities Travel to other TD SYNNEX logistics centers to support security operations as needed (passport required) Experience 3-5 years of relevant professional experience1-3 years of direct people management or supervisory experienceMinimum of two years' experience as a sworn or certified law enforcement officer Education & Certifications Bachelor's Degree preferredSome college requiredLaw enforcement certification or equivalent experience is a plus Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to resolve complex issuesExperience conducting in‑depth interviews and criminal or civil investigationsProven ability to supervise, train, and evaluate staffStrong leadership, decision‑making, and interpersonal skills across diverse populationsAbility to identify operational risk and make proactive security recommendationsEffective communicator with all levels of management; capable group facilitatorSkilled negotiator capable of influencing outcomes and gaining alignmentAbility to maintain confidentiality of sensitive informationComfortable working independently with minimal supervisionAbility to manage potentially hostile situations until law enforcement arrivalBasic proficiency with computer systems, including spreadsheets, word processing, and databasesBilingual skills are a plus At TD SYNNEX, our values guide everything we do: Together, We Own It, We Dare to Go, We Grow and Win, and above all, We Do the Right Thing.
