Corporate Sales Representative
About the role
We run five Nothing Bundt Cakes bakeries on the west and northwest sides of San Antonio and in Boerne. We are expanding our corporate business across the portfolio and hiring one person to lead it. This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for someone who has already built a book of business from scratch and wants to do it again here. Companies around this city buy cakes constantly: client thank‑you gifts, staff birthdays, nurse appreciation week, closing gifts, holiday gifting, new hire welcomes. This role owns that business across all five bakeries.
Responsibilities
- Build and grow a corporate account list across our west side territory: the South Texas Medical Center, the 1604 corridor, law firms and professional offices, hotels, and the businesses around JBSA.
- Reach out cold, in person and by phone and email. Get in front of office managers, practice managers, HR leads, and executive assistants.
- Turn single orders into standing ones. Getting an office onto our employee birthday program means they order every month without you selling again.
- Own your accounts after the sale and grow the big ones year over year.
- Coordinate each order with the bakery producing it: quantity, flavors, lead time, delivery.
- Help shape how we sell corporate: pricing tiers, proposals, delivery standards.
Requirements
- Three or more years of outbound B2B sales in catering, hospitality, food service, business services, or similar.
- You have carried a number and hit it, and you can walk us through exactly how.
- You are comfortable walking into a business you have never been to and asking for the person who decides.
- You can work daytime business hours, when corporate buyers are actually reachable.
- Reliable vehicle, valid Texas license, current insurance, smartphone.
- You keep good records without being reminded.
Helpful but not required: an existing San Antonio business book, experience selling on a recurring or standing order basis, prior catering or corporate gifting experience, bilingual English and Spanish.
Pay
- $26 per hour, full time (W‑2).
- 10% of everything a new corporate account buys in its first twelve months, starting with the very first order.
- 5% of everything it buys after that, for as long as you are here and the account keeps ordering.
- No cap at any level.
- Mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate.
The first few months are heavily prospecting, with the commission building behind that. Full time is what we have in mind, but we would rather have the right person at 30 hours a week than the wrong one at 40. If fewer hours would make this work for you, say so when you apply and we will figure it out.
Benefits
- Mileage reimbursement (IRS rate)
- Uncapped commission
- Paid time off
- Employee discounts
- Flexible schedule
Schedule
Mostly daytime hours during the week, and no store shifts. Daytime business hours required for prospecting and client meetings.
Why this role
- The territory is yours — you are not competing with an existing sales team for accounts.
- The product sells itself once it is in the room; people genuinely light up about these cakes.
- Paid time off.
- You report directly to an owner; decisions take days, not quarters.
