Corporate Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Review the safety standards and practices of all personnel on Vanir's projects
• Develop and implement site-specific health and safety plans in accordance with legal guidelines
• Participate in fact-finding cause analysis for injury/incident investigations and prepare incident and injury reports
• Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities, or new prevention measures
• Research safety and environmental regulations and policies and institute changes to ensure compliance
• Aid in managing and updating all site and corporate safety documentation
• Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
• Manage and distribute Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Work independently with minimal guidance on reviewing construction safety and potential project risk issues

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Environment Health and Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent technical area of study is preferred
• 6+ years of experience in the construction industry with an emphasis in safety
• Basic knowledge of ground-up vertical commercial building construction (office buildings, schools, jails, courthouses, fire/police stations, or hospital type projects)
• OSHA-30 Certified
• Ability to produce reports and develop relevant policies
• Valid Driver's license is required

Qualifications

• Ability to represent Vanir and related entities in a professional manner at all times to ensure company policies and procedures as well as compliance to all applicable laws and regulations

Skills

• Knowledge of OSHA and worker safety regulations with respect to construction operations
• Experience with developing Construction Site Safety Plans, Injury Illness Prevention Plans, and understanding construction, occupational, and environmental health and safety standards and best practices

USD $80,000.00 - USD $115,000.00 /Yr.
