About the role
The Corporate Recruiter plays an essential role in the talent acquisition function, supporting full-cycle recruiting efforts, and building future talent pipelines across First Student. Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Talent Acquisition & Candidate Experience, this role works closely with leadership to ensure alignment with hiring needs and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers to understand talent needs and assist in developing effective recruiting strategies.
- Ensure recruiting efforts align with company goals and hiring priorities.
- Collaborate with the talent acquisition team to support and execute recruitment initiatives.
- Identify and engage potential candidates through networking, passive sourcing, and online research.
- Ensure adherence to EEO, Affirmative Action, ADA, and other relevant hiring regulations.
- Follow standardized hiring processes to maintain consistency and compliance.
- Work within established recruitment processes to maintain efficiency and compliance.
- Provide input on process improvements to enhance hiring outcomes and candidate experience.
- Utilize Workday to manage applicant flow and maintain accurate candidate records.
- Provide regular updates and insights to the Manager, Corporate Talent Acquisition & Candidate Experience.
- Maintain accountability for meeting individual recruiting goals and timelines.
- Assist in developing initiatives to enhance the candidate experience.
- Gather feedback from candidates to refine recruitment efforts.
- Support employer branding efforts by engaging with candidates and external talent communities.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent recruiting experience.
- 3+ years of recruiting experience; corporate, agency, campus, or military recruiting preferred.
- Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) strongly preferred.
- Strong ability to identify, engage, and build relationships with potential candidates.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with hiring managers and team members.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple roles effectively.
- Ability to work with confidentiality and discretion regarding sensitive information.
