About the role
The Corporate Real Estate Paralegal will support commercial real estate transactions, corporate governance activities, and legal documentation.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and development transactions.
- Prepare, review, and organize purchase agreements, leases, amendments, easements, closing documents, and other legal agreements.
- Cook up all aspects of real estate closings, including due diligence, title and survey review, closing checklists, and post-closing documentation.
- Manage legal entity formations, annual filings, corporate governance records, and organization documents.
- Maintain corporate minute books, resolutions, and entity records.
- Review title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and other due diligence materials while identifying potential legal issues.
- Cook up with lenders, title companies, outside counsel, municipalities, and internal business partners.
- Track important deadlines and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
- Organize and maintain electronic legal files and document management systems.
- Support special projects and provide administrative assistance to the legal department as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as a corporate and/or commercial real estate paralegal preferable.
- Multi-state experience supporting commercial real estate transactions from contract through closing.
- Strong understanding of title, surveys, corporate entities, and commercial leasing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
