As a Corporate Pilot, you’ll be part of our Aviation Operations team working as an on-site employee at Stanley Black & Decker, a global leader with iconic brands including DEWALT®, BLACK+DECKER®, CRAFTSMAN®, STANLEY®, CUB CADET®, and HUSTLER®. Responsibilities
- Review the maintenance status of the aircraft.
- Validate trip details prior to departure.
- Conduct proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the Aircraft Flight Manual.
- Ensure the aircraft is airworthy, registered, and all required documentation is onboard.
- Check weather and applicable NOTAMs; determine fuel, oil, and oxygen requirements.
- Make decisions to start, delay, or cancel flights and deviate from planned routes when necessary.
- Ensure all flight-planning requirements are met.
- Maintain currency and proficiency in assigned Flight Department aircraft.
- Complete all trip paperwork accurately per company procedures.
- Operate the aircraft per Standard Operating Procedures and within aircraft limitations.
- Conduct flights in accordance with Stanley Black & Decker policies, FAA regulations, and international regulations.
- Ensure the safety of all passengers, aircraft, and crew.
- Provide a Passenger Safety Briefing to all passengers.
- Deliver excellent customer service to passengers and crew.
- Ensure flights are not commenced or continued if crewmembers are incapacitated due to injury, sickness, fatigue, or psychoactive substances.
- Comply with schedules and directives governing aircraft operation.
- Complete post-flight duties, including notifying the Company of deviations to planned itineraries or overnight locations.
- Record flight times and report known or suspected aircraft defects to management and maintenance personnel.
- Ensure all aircraft documents, checklists, publications, and databases are accurate.
- Coordinate with the Director of Aviation and Director of Maintenance regarding mechanical repairs and operational status.
- Report known or suspected FAA violations or incidents to the Chief Pilot promptly.
- Report acts of unlawful interference to the FAA or State authorities and designated local authorities.
- Report hazardous weather or flight conditions to appropriate ATC facilities.
- Notify appropriate authorities of any aircraft accidents by the quickest means and preserve flight and cockpit voice recorder data.
- Remain knowledgeable of pertinent areas of the Flight Operations Manual (FOM).
- Ensure compliance with Customs, Immigration, and cabotage laws.
- Conform with nonstandard environmental rules and procedures at departure and destination airports.
Requirements
- Total flight time: 3,000 hours.
- Pilot in Command (PIC) time: 1,500 hours.
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL) time: 1,500 hours.
- MEL PIC time: 500 hours.
- Turbo Jet time: 500 hours.
- Instrument time: 250 hours.
- FAA First Class Medical required.
- Must be able to work on an on-call basis.
- Primary residence within a 90-minute drive from CLT (Charlotte, NC).
Qualifications
- Type rated on DA7X (preferred) or comparable aircraft.
- Extensive international experience (preferred).
