Corporate Pilot

About the Opportunity

The Corporate Pilot will assist in solving complex problems, taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions and develop new concepts, methods, and techniques. The role involves regular communication with the Assistant Chief Pilots to ensure that all operational issues related to aircraft are addressed promptly. Candidates should have strong handling skills and an extensive IFR background. A King Air 350 type rating is preferred but not required. Pilots must be confident in operating King Air aircraft into short‑runway airports and at least one unimproved dirt airstrip.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all government, industry, and company safety and operational requirements.
• Report flight‑operations safety issues and hazards to the Chief Pilot via the Safety Management System.
• Complete all required pre‑flight planning and preparation duties.
• Verify that aircraft, weather, flight plan, departure airport facilities, en‑route conditions, and destination meet operational requirements.
• Confirm required aircraft certificates and manuals are on board before each flight.
• Maintain current knowledge of and adhere to Part 91 & Part 135 regulations, recent flight experience requirements under FAR Part 61, and Standard Operating Procedures as outlined in the Driscoll’s flight manual and FAA Advisory Circulars.
• Attend regularly scheduled ground and simulator training to maintain flight proficiency, knowledge of regulations, and aircraft systems.
• Maintain current licenses and certificates to comply with company, ICAO, and FAA requirements.
• Assist with loading and unloading baggage and provide passenger assistance as required.
• Contribute to the Business Unit’s people priorities and objectives regarding leader effectiveness, employee engagement, and enabling others to perform.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 90% of the time.
• Represent Driscoll’s in an ethical and professional manner with growers, co‑workers, suppliers, customers, and the broader business community.

Requirements

• Commercial Multi‑Engine Land certificate; Airline Transport Pilot license preferred.
• FAA First Class Medical.
• Rated in King Air 300/350 – preferred.
• California driver’s license or willingness to convert to a CA license.
• Minimum 2,000 total flight hours, including 1,500 hours Pilot‑in‑Command.
• At least 500 hours in jet or turboprop aircraft.
• 200 hours in the specific type (King Air 350) – preferred.
• High school diploma required; two years of college or technical training preferred.
• Valid passport and ability to travel internationally without restrictions.

Pay

Salary range estimated for the Corporate Pilot is: $145,000 to $185,000 USD.
