About the role
The Corporate Pilot position is part of the Aviation Operations team at Stanley Black & Decker. This role involves reviewing aircraft maintenance, conducting pre-flight inspections, and ensuring flights are conducted safely and according to company policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing the maintenance status of the aircraft
- Validating trip details before departure
- Conducting proper pre-flight inspection
- Ensuring the aircraft is airworthy and required documentation is onboard
- Checking weather and NOTAMs, determining fuel, oil, and oxygen requirements
- Making decisions to start, delay, or cancel flights
- Maintaining currency and proficiency in assigned aircraft
- Accurately completing trip paperwork
- Operating the aircraft per Standard Operating Procedures
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, FAA regulations, and international regulations
- Maintaining passenger safety during flights
- Reporting any accidents/incidents to the appropriate authorities
- Ensuring compliance with customs, immigration, and cabotage laws
- Complying with environmental rules and procedures
Requirements
- Total time = 3000 hours
- PIC = 1500 hours
- MEL = 1500 hours
- MEL PIC = 500 hours
- Time in Turbo Jet = 500 hours
- Instrument = 250 hours
- Type rated on DA7X (preferred) or comparable aircraft
- Extensive international experience (preferred)
- FAA First Class Medical required
- Ability to work on an on-call basis
- Primary residence within a 90-minute drive from CLT
