About the role

The Corporate Partnerships Manager will generate revenue for the Pittsburgh Steelers through the sale of strategic corporate partnerships, focusing on identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities that leverage the team’s marketing and media assets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a highly effective strategy to identify and solicit new partners
  • Create dynamic, fully integrated marketing offerings to secure partnerships with local, regional, and national companies
  • Work in concert with Partnership Activation staff to ensure efficient execution of all partnership assets
  • Achieve all new revenue goals and contribute to team revenue goals
  • Represent the Steelers organization at marketing and community initiatives as required
  • Serve as a liaison between the Steelers Corporate Partnership department and internal/external parties
  • Regularly investigate new categorical/inventory opportunities
  • Generate new concepts, ideas, and platforms that stand out in the sports partnership landscape
  • Engage prospects in a consultative manner, focusing on relationship building over transactional techniques
  • Maintain a high pace to yield a significant number of qualified sales opportunities annually
  • Demonstrate an innate desire to continually improve strategic sales approaches

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis on business, marketing, communications, or management
  • 5+ years of sponsorship sales experience for a professional or collegiate sports organization or entertainment property
  • Proven track record of elite sponsorship sales performance, including prospecting and closure of six- and seven-figure partnerships
  • Highly self-motivated but able to thrive in a team environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office programs; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Kore, and Digideck software preferred
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours and weekends as required
