Primary Responsibilities
- Client Management and Business Development:
- Maintain and expand a book of business of at least $500k.
- Build and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring their legal and business needs are consistently met.
- Drive business development activities including networking, seminars, conferences, and other events.
- Legal Services:
- Provide comprehensive legal counsel on a wide range of corporate matters, including M&A, governance, securities, regulatory compliance, and others.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts and agreements.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and litigations when necessary.
- Firm Leadership and Strategy:
- Collaborate with other partners to shape and execute the firm’s strategic objectives.
- Mentor and guide junior attorneys, offering them insights and support in their professional development.
- Contribute to the firm's knowledge base through research, publications, and presentations.
- Operational Excellence:
- Ensure adherence to the highest standards of legal practice and ethics.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.
- Participate in firm-wide committees and initiatives, ensuring the continuous improvement of processes and practices.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- Valid license to practice law in MA.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate law, with a proven track record as a generalist handling diverse corporate legal matters.
- Established book of business of at least $500k.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strong leadership skills with a commitment to collaborative work.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in legal research tools and software.
