Duties And Responsibilities

  • Employment litigation defense, including wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, wage and hour claims.
  • Business/commercial litigation, both defense and prosecution, involving customer/vendor disputes.
  • Reviewing invoices, account statements, and contracts.
  • Autonomous, able to handle consultations, research, and preparation of responsive pleadings.
  • Preparing correspondence and documents, filing, typing, and using computer software.
  • Communicating with employees and management, coordinating special projects as directed.
  • Reading and analyzing incoming memos, submissions, and reports.
  • File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports.
  • Compile data and prepare papers for executives, committees, and Boards of Directors.
  • Conduct interviews with employees and management.
  • Summarize depositions, testimony, and interrogations.
  • Attend relevant meetings and events.
  • Draft legal documents such as contracts.

Requirements

  • A California State Bar license.
  • At least 3-5 years of hands-on litigation experience.
  • Admission or capability for admission to all California Courts.
  • Preferred experience in actual trial, arbitration, and mediation, labor commissioner, administrative law, healthcare/patient collections, malpractice, elder abuse, and negligence.
  • Strong work ethic, ability to prioritize and stay motivated.

Pay

$170,000-$230,000
