About the role
Assist in the administration of Owner Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIP), Contractor Controlled Insurance Programs (CCIP), Builder’s risk and subcontractor default insurance programs.
Responsibilities
- Insurance Review insurance requirements within construction agreements (including DBIA and AIA forms, bid documentation, master agreements, and subcontracts).
- Issue Certificates of Insurance (COIs) to owners/lenders including applicable endorsements.
- Analyze subcontractors' COIs for strict compliance with contract requirements and non-compliant coverage and escalate discrepancies.
- Manage subcontractor enrollments.
- Aid in the surety and bonding processes.
- Litigation and Claims Management: Assist, support, and step into a leadership role in managing the company’s claims and litigation portfolio. Process and track insurance claims, including coordinating with project superintendents, injured parties, and carriers.
- Licensing Management: Lead the management and maintenance of the company’s general contracting and corporate business licenses across various states, municipalities, and jurisdictions to ensure seamless operational compliance.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in construction risk management, commercial P&C insurance, or corporate insurance compliance.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with standard construction contracts, basic OSHA regulations, and standard insurance lines (General Liability, Workers’ Compensation, Builder's Risk, Umbrella, CCIP/OCIP).
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Excel), construction management or payment software, and RMIS platforms.
- Communication and Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to confidently explain complex insurance requirements to stakeholders. Strong attention to detail with the ability to audit policies and maintain complex legal/risk documentation.

Pay
The salary range is $70,000 - $75,000. The salary base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities.
