Corporate Finance Manager
About the role
The Corporate Finance Manager plays a critical role in supporting the financial performance, planning, and strategic decision-making of Starwood Hotels across its global portfolio. Partnering closely with Corporate Accounting, Operational Finance, Hotel Finance, and Executive Leadership, this role delivers financial reporting, forecasting, performance analysis, and business insights that drive operational excellence and sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
Support the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
Prepare monthly financial reports, variance analyses, and executive reporting packages.
Develop financial models and business analyses to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
Identify trends, financial risks, and opportunities while providing recommendations to leadership.
Support the monthly Home Office financial close process.
Portfolio Performance & Business Partnering
Review monthly hotel financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Prepare monthly Portfolio Reporting Packages for Executive Leadership.
Aid in monthly hotel P&L reviews and portfolio performance meetings.
Participate in financial review meetings with hotel leadership teams.
Support new hotel openings, transitions, and strategic corporate initiatives.
Build strong partnerships across Finance, Operations, Corporate Accounting, and Hotel Leadership.
Restaurants & Nightlife Financial Performance Lead
Financial analytics for Starwood Hotels' Restaurants & Nightlife division.
Develop dashboards and standardized reporting to improve operational visibility.
Analyze revenue, labor productivity, menu performance, and operating margins.
Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Support executive leadership and ownership with financial insights and recommendations.
Develop scalable reporting solutions that support portfolio growth.
Financial Systems & Process Improvement
Maintain and enhance standardized reporting templates, dashboards, and financial models.
Support improvements to financial planning systems, reporting automation, and data integrity.
Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency.
Assist with special projects and enterprise-wide finance initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline required.
Five (5)+ years of progressive experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A, Accounting, or Hospitality Finance.
Hospitality, real estate, or multi-unit operating experience preferred.
Strong understanding of financial statements, forecasting, budgeting, and operational performance metrics.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills required.
Experience with enterprise financial systems (SUN, EPM, On Track, HMS, Infogenesis, or similar ERP/reporting platforms) preferred.
Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
