About the Role

Sabey is looking for a highly motivated, new attorney with an interest in joining the in-house legal department at a growing real estate company. You will join a small, dynamic legal team with the opportunity to assist in a wide variety of contracts, transactions, and general corporate areas. This position reports to the General Counsel and provides direct transactional support to internal groups, as well as close collaboration with outside counsel on various real estate and corporate matters. The focus will include data center lease, license, and other commercial agreements.

The annual salary range for this role is $110,000–$165,883, and the position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide transaction management and support for Sales executives, including drafting, review, and negotiation of data center lease agreements, amendments, carrier license agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Support Senior Corporate Counsel with real estate and corporate transactions, including acquisitions, easements, financing, sales, and related due diligence review.
  • Support Property Management and Data Center Operations with review of vendor master service agreements.
  • Assist Senior Corporate Counsel with general corporate matters and various legal projects.
  • Handle other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proof of passed State Bar Exam and proof of good standing.
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • 1+ years of relevant real estate experience.
  • In-house legal experience within a corporate setting preferred.
  • Established track record of success in legal matters in a continually changing work environment.
  • Proven experience reviewing, drafting, and editing leases and other commercial contracts.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality of work.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability and desire to work both independently and as a team to meet deadlines and drive transactions to completion.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Willingness to continually improve processes.
  • Ability to provide outstanding service to a diverse group of internal stakeholders and Sabey’s customers.
  • Advanced knowledge of the English language—excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on attention to detail.
