About the role

This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary legal partner for DKeX and related initiatives
  • Advise on legal and regulatory issues per the Commodity Exchange Act and CFTC regulations
  • Draft, review, and maintain exchange rules and governance materials for regulated markets
  • Provide legal guidance on regulatory filings and operational matters for DKeX
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and other teams to support regulated products
  • Monitor industry developments affecting derivatives markets and advise stakeholders accordingly
  • Manage outside counsel and coordinate legal support on specialized regulatory matters

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited institution with excellent academic credentials
  • Minimum of five years of legal experience, ideally a mix of law firm, in-house, or government/regulatory experience
  • Expertise in financial services regulation, derivatives markets, or other highly regulated industries
  • Proven ability to analyze complex regulatory frameworks and offer practical legal advice
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills suitable for various audiences
  • Curiosity and sound judgment in addressing legal and regulatory challenges

Skills

  • Experience with designated contract markets or similar regulated entities is preferred

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $160,800 – $201,000 annually
