About the role
This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary legal partner for DKeX and related initiatives
- Advise on legal and regulatory issues per the Commodity Exchange Act and CFTC regulations
- Draft, review, and maintain exchange rules and governance materials for regulated markets
- Provide legal guidance on regulatory filings and operational matters for DKeX
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and other teams to support regulated products
- Monitor industry developments affecting derivatives markets and advise stakeholders accordingly
- Manage outside counsel and coordinate legal support on specialized regulatory matters
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited institution with excellent academic credentials
- Minimum of five years of legal experience, ideally a mix of law firm, in-house, or government/regulatory experience
- Expertise in financial services regulation, derivatives markets, or other highly regulated industries
- Proven ability to analyze complex regulatory frameworks and offer practical legal advice
- Strong written and verbal communication skills suitable for various audiences
- Curiosity and sound judgment in addressing legal and regulatory challenges
Skills
- Experience with designated contract markets or similar regulated entities is preferred

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $160,800 – $201,000 annually
