Corporate Counsel - Financial Privacy & Emerging Data Use

About the role

T-Mobile is seeking a Corporate Counsel – Financial Privacy & Emerging Data Use to provide legal guidance on privacy laws and regulations impacting T-Mobile's financial products and services.

Responsibilities

• Advise on privacy laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting T-Mobile's financial products and services.
• Counsel on GLBA, FCRA, state privacy laws, and emerging data privacy requirements.
• Guide privacy impact assessments and similar analyses for new products and services.
• Develop strong business partnerships to support privacy considerations in product development.
• Drive a successful compliance program through drafting policies, disclosures, and training.
• Draft and negotiate provisions in commercial contracts.
• Analyze potential legislation and regulations to provide subject matter expertise.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant in-house or law firm experience.
• JD from an ABA-accredited university with excellent academic credentials.
• Current bar membership in at least one U.S. state.
• Experience with privacy laws and regulations.
• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies.
• Ability to analyze and advise on complex matters.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Executive maturity and ability to work with a variety of personalities.
• Ability to operate independently and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Desire to solve customer pain points and a strong commitment to customer service.
