Corporate Counsel - Financial Privacy & Emerging Data Use

About the role

T-Mobile is seeking a Corporate Counsel – Financial Privacy & Emerging Data Use to provide legal guidance on privacy laws and regulations impacting T-Mobile's financial products and services. This role requires a strong understanding of privacy laws, including GLBA, FCRA, and emerging data privacy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Advise on privacy laws and regulations impacting T-Mobile's financial products and services
• Counsel on GLBA, FCRA, state financial privacy laws, and emerging consumer financial data privacy laws
• Provide guidance on privacy considerations for emerging data uses at T-Mobile
• Guide privacy impact assessments and similar analyses of products, services, systems, and processes
• Develop strong business partnerships to help guide the business on privacy considerations
• Drive a successful compliance program in privacy areas
• Draft and negotiate related provisions in commercial contracts as needed
• Analyze potentially impactful legislation and regulations

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years of relevant experience as an in-house, top law firm, or government attorney
• A JD from an ABA-accredited university with outstanding academic credentials
• Current bar membership (in good standing) in at least one U.S. state
• Strong aptitude and enthusiasm for learning new technology
• Proven ability to analyze and advise on highly complex, high-impact matters
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to interact with a range of personalities and roles across the business
• Executive maturity and ability to navigate a complex organization
• Pragmatic business sense and good judgment
• Ability to operate independently and effectively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
• Desire and ability to work as part of a team

• Be legally authorized to work in the United States

Pay

The base pay range for this role is $123,200 - $222,200, with a corporate bonus target of 15%. Actual pay will vary based on various factors, including work location, qualifications, and experience.
