Corporate Counsel, Business Conduct & Ethics Investigations

About the role

Amazon’s Legal Department is looking for an attorney with significant experience in corporate investigations and compliance programs to join its Business Conduct & Ethics Investigations Program. As Corporate Counsel, you will monitor, supervise, and independently conduct internal investigations involving potential legal and regulatory issues, including fraud allegations. The ideal candidate must be a strong communicator adept at working with multiple stakeholders to navigate complex investigations and deliver results. You will also help design, administer, and support our Business Conduct & Ethics Investigations Program. You must be able to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, supervise, and independently conduct internal investigations involving potential legal and regulatory issues, including fraud allegations.
• Work with multiple stakeholders to navigate complex investigations and deliver results.
• Design, administer, and support Amazon’s Business Conduct & Ethics Investigations Program.

Requirements

• 5+ years of legal experience.
• Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work.
• Experience in fraud/risk investigations.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is:

• USA, VA, Arlington: $153,900.00 - $208,200.00 USD annually
• USA, WA, Seattle: $153,900.00 - $208,200.00 USD annually

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
