Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of month-end and year-end close, including preparation of accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage general ledger reconciliations, intercompany eliminations, consolidations, and management reporting.
- Develop financial reports, dashboards, KPIs, budgets, forecasts, and ad hoc analyses to support executive leadership.
- Oversee treasury and cash management functions, including cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, working capital, and financing compliance.
- Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and capital expenditure reporting.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, external audits, reporting requirements, and record retention policies.
- Drive process improvements and support ERP implementations, upgrades, and system optimization initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
- Partner with executive leadership and operational teams on budgeting, financial planning, profitability analysis, and strategic initiatives.
- Participate in special projects and other financial leadership initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA or CMA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a multi-site manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of leadership experience as a Controller or similar accounting management role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and manufacturing cost accounting.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with consolidations required; job costing and percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting are a plus.
- Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated success developing and mentoring accounting professionals.
- Must be authorized to work permanently in the United States.
