Job Overview

Fairview is seeking a Corporate Compliance Strategist to join their team. This role involves assisting the System Director Corporate Compliance and Chief Compliance Officer in driving compliance with federal and state regulations and internal policies through development and execution of compliance program strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the System Compliance Director and Chief Compliance Officer in the development and execution of the overarching compliance program mission, strategy, and oversight.
  • Analyze new or previously initiated aspects of Fairview’s business to ensure compliance infrastructure is understood and compliance concerns are addressed.
  • Develop and execute an ongoing, system-wide compliance communication plan to increase awareness of Fairview’s compliance program.
  • Produce quarterly compliance newsletters and other updates.
  • Lead the development of a compliance education program, including identifying compliance issues, developing compliance curriculum, outlining learning needs of specific areas within Fairview, providing general training, and assisting with other system and entity compliance education efforts.
  • Complete Compliance annual learning material.
  • Administer the compliance hotline and website.
  • Facilitate the Payment, Adjustment, Correction and Error (PACE) workgroup and manage issues through to remediation.
  • Develop and apply tools to measure the effectiveness of Fairview’s compliance program.
  • Partner with Revenue Cycle and Operational leaders and staff to provide guidance and inform decision-making on compliance-related inquiries and issues.
  • Provide consultative services for system and site-based compliance initiatives, regulatory updates, and external government audit activity.
  • Lead the annual conflict of interest disclosure process.
  • Cook Compliance Departmental efforts by participating, coordinating, and facilitating system and functional compliance committee meetings and workgroups, as needed, with stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update the compliance department intranet SharePoint site.
  • Maintain and develop compliance policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Information Management, or a related field.
  • 5 years of healthcare compliance and/or revenue cycle experience.
  • 3 years of project management within compliance/regulatory arenas.
  • Experience and accountability working in or with a large, multi-site integrated health care delivery system.
  • Licensure in RHIT, RHIA, CPMA, CCMSCP, CHC or equivalent within 2 years.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree.
  • 5 years working in complex multifaceted healthcare organizations.
  • 3 years of compliance/regulatory responsibilities.

Skills

General understanding of laws, regulations, and standards that impact Fairview, Performance Improvement theory and processes.

Compensation

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical. If your role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, the bonus program that is approved and in place at the time of offer, is what will be honored.
