CORPORATE AUDITOR 4
The Role
HII has an immediate opportunity for a Corporate Auditor 4 in Pascagoula, Mississippi!
Auditor will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of audit processes - budgeting, scoping, planning, fieldwork, assessing risk, report writing, follow up with internal audit clients - and performing operating, financial, Sarbanes Oxley, and assurance audits across the enterprise.
Auditor will work closely with all levels within the company including our divisions - Mission Technology, Newport News Shipbuilding, Ingalls Shipbuilding as well as the corporate office while ensuring excellent client service.
- Conduct complex financial and operational audits by examining and verifying accounting, statistical and / or operational records and/or procedures of internal and / or external organizations, and use data analytics to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of internal control systems.
- Examine records and processes to ensure proper recording of transactions and compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, corporate policies, and generally accepted internal audit standards.
- Support HII in advisory services via evaluations and recommendations of business practices, processes, and controls and provide support to our external auditors via assurance-based audits and audits over internal controls.
Requirements
Must Have:
- Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant exempt experience;
- Master’s Degree and 8 year of relevant professional experience;
- CIA and/or CPA;
- Shipbuilding operations experience;
- Experience with the following:
- SAP and/or Cost Point;
- OPTRO (formally AuditBoard);
- Data analytic tools (Power BI, Power Pivot, etc.);
- AI or automation tools (Copilot).
