Corporate Attorney

A well-established midsize law firm on Long Island is interested in adding an experienced Corporate Attorney to its growing transactional practice.

About the role

The Corporate team advises public and private companies, entrepreneurs, investors, lenders, and other business clients across a broad range of transactional and general corporate matters, including:

• Mergers & acquisitions
• Debt and equity financings
• Private placements and investment transactions
• Corporate governance
• Commercial agreements
• Joint ventures and strategic transactions
• Business formations and restructurings
• General corporate counseling
• Securities and financing-related matters

Responsibilities

The Corporate Attorney will work closely with clients throughout the lifecycle of their businesses and provide opportunities to take ownership of matters and develop direct client relationships. They will be responsible for:

• Advising clients on complex corporate transactions
• Drafting and negotiating legal documents
• Managing client interactions and providing legal advice
• Collaborating with senior attorneys and partners
• Assisting in the development of new business relationships

Requirements

Qualifications for this position include:

• Experience with M&A, financings, securities, private equity, or general corporate matters
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills
• Comfortable working directly with clients and senior attorneys
• Excellent academic credentials and communication skills
• New York Bar admission required
