About the role
The Energy, Environmental and Projects team at Nelson Mullins is seeking an experienced energy regulatory attorney to join their expanding practice. This role is open to the firm's offices in Charlotte, Columbia, D.C., and Houston, though any office location is considered.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients on energy transactions, regulatory matters, and policy issues.
- Work with clients in various industries, including renewable energy developers, independent power producers, data centers, and private equity firms.
- Provide quality training and direct client exposure.
- Showcase exceptional oral and written advocacy skills.
- Show strong academic credentials.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience at a mid-size to large law firm.
- Experience with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
- Admission and good standing to the Bar in the applicable jurisdiction.

Pay
The salary/wage range for this position is $250,000 - $350,000 annually.
