About the role
This is a hybrid position with three days per week in our NYC office (at One Soho Square).
Responsibilities
- Preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements, including appendices for the entire group of companies, in accordance with the applicable regulations according to US GAAP/IFRS, as well as capital market publications
- Responsibility for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (according to US GAAP and IFRS), ensuring the proper recording of all transactions, and maintaining compliance with SEC, SOX, and other US regulatory requirements
- Being the contact person for all departments for accounting issues and questions
- Maintaining master data and ensuring the quality of reporting
- Supporting and taking on special projects in the area of external accounting, as well as clarification of special issues in the area of national and international accounting
- Continuous development and adjustment of accounting and consolidation guidelines, as well as reporting processes
- Permanent process optimization and active advancement of automation, standardization, and digitalization of our accounting
- Supporting with special tasks and projects
Requirements
- Completed degree in economics with a focus on accounting/finance or comparable education
- Relevant professional experience as a (Senior) Group Accountant or in a comparable position
- Strong expertise in US GAAP and IFRS is required, including experience with SEC reporting, SOX compliance, and US regulatory frameworks
- Practical or theoretical consolidation knowledge
- Very good Excel skills and knowledge of management reporting systems (LucaNet is a plus) as well as of disclosure management systems
- Interested in being part of an international capital market-oriented group of companies
- Quick comprehension, analytical thinking, and very good communication skills

Pay
Salary Range $120,000 - $150,000 USD
