This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking long term career growth within a dynamic finance organization.Role SummaryThe Corporate Accountant will support a variety of corporate accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and reporting functions. This role will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, preparing financial analyses, and supporting key accounting processes that impact the broader organization.The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting fundamentals, experience working within a larger corporate environment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism. This position offers exposure to senior accounting leadership and opportunities to take on additional responsibilities over time.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports for the corporate general ledgerSupport weekly forecasting activities and assist with annual budgeting processesPrepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling itemsProcess voided checks, invoice adjustments, and other accounting transactions as requiredSet up and support treasury related transactions, including wire transfersReview and approve accounts payable invoices through the company's approval workflow systemAssist with month end close and financial reporting activitiesPerform ad hoc accounting analyses and special projects as assignedIdentify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencyKey RequirementsFive or more years of progressive accounting experienceBachelor's degree in AccountingStrong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and corporate accounting practicesExperience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, financial reports, and month end close activitiesAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and financial analysisExperience working within a large ERP environmentAbility to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environmentStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritiesHigh attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to thrive in a fast paced environment during peak reporting periodsPreferred SkillsExperience working for a medium to large publicly traded organizationOracle ERP experienceExperience supporting accounts payable processes and invoice approval workflowsExperience with budgeting and forecasting activitiesStrong tenure and demonstrated career progression with previous employersExperience partnering with multiple departments across an organizationCall to ActionIf you are an accounting professional looking for an opportunity to expand your corporate accounting experience within a collaborative and growth focused environment, apply today through The Intersect Group with your resume and best contact information.
