Corporate Accountant

About the Role

The Corporate Accountant assists departmental leadership with financial duties as approved by the Chief Financial Officer. Responsibilities include daily general ledger maintenance, monthly account reconciliations, and supporting the Controller in the monthly closeout process and financial statement preparation. The role may also involve special projects such as preparing reports for external agencies and ARcare leadership.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or provide advice.
• Assign entries to proper accounts.
• Prepare periodic reports comparing budgeted costs to actual costs.
• Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems using current computer technology.
• Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel.
• Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and recommend, develop, or maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
• Participate in Finance Department meetings and organizational Quality Improvement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
