About the role

Chromalloy is a global engineering & solutions company providing aftermarket parts, repairs, and solutions for aircraft engines and gas turbines. We develop, manufacture, and repair critical turbine components for various industries.

Responsibilities

• Operates ceramic core injection molding machines to form ceramic patterns.
• Core injection press and tooling preparation and operation.
• Core shape making process via injection.
• Dimensional and visual inspection of injected cores.
• Core forging operation.
• Preparing cores for thermal processing.
• Rotate with the Harrop area.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High school education or equivalent life experience and three to six months related experience or training.
• Able to learn and to operate all injection machines, and perform all functions of wax injection operation to include placement of patterns in wax setters or fixtures after injection.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.

Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, and grammar. Basic knowledge of machines and tools. Knowledge of production processes and quality control. Abilities The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without "giving out" or fatiguing. The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects. The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
