Core Lab - Medical Lab Scientist

About The Role
In this role, the Medical Lab Scientist supports patient care by performing laboratory testing used in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. This includes waived, moderate, and high complexity testing. Experience with these testing levels in a clinical laboratory setting through education or work experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Performs all laboratory testing, including the pre-examination phase, in accordance with standard operating procedures and accreditation guidelines to support patient care.
- Conducts and documents established quality control procedures on analytical tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products.
- Evaluates the results of quality control testing and implements corrective action according to established protocols to ensure accuracy and quality of patient testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Science Program.
- Specific Degree(s): Medical Technology, Medical Technician, Medical Laboratory Science.
- Laboratory certification required (ASCP or HEW).
Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.

Pay
Pay Range: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour. Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
Schedule
- Part-Time (24 hours per week).
- Evening shift: 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
