Work you’ll do/Responsibilities
- Manage and support enterprise core network infrastructure across data center environments.
- Configure, monitor, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, ISR/ASR platforms in multi-vendor environments.
- Administer and troubleshoot SD-WAN solutions, preferably VMware VeloCloud.
- Support SD-WAN and WAN transformation initiatives, including Cisco Viptela, Meraki, VMware VeloCloud, or Silver Peak.
- Manage Palo Alto firewalls for security, policy enforcement, and traffic control.
- Support F5 load balancers for application delivery and traffic distribution.
- Support F5 LTM, GTM/DNS, APM, ASM/Advanced WAF, iRules, SSL offload, virtual server design, and certificate management.
- Design and support LAN/WAN connectivity for branch, campus, and enterprise networks.
- Support advanced routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VRF, and VXLAN/EVPN.
- Support data center fabric design and troubleshooting, including spine-leaf and Nexus 9K environments.
- Support Azure networking, including VNets, NSGs, UDRs, Azure Firewall, Private Endpoints, Peering, ExpressRoute, and hybrid connectivity.
- Support network security operations, including Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/FTD, Checkpoint, segmentation, VPN, and secure remote access.
- Support network automation and infrastructure as code using Python, Ansible, Terraform, APIs, and Git-based workflows.
- Use SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, Dynatrace, NetFlow, packet capture, and syslog analysis for monitoring and observability.
- Maintain bandwidth, latency, throughput, and overall network performance.
- Troubleshoot routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, firewall, and load balancing issues.
- Manage incidents, requests, and changes through ServiceNow.
- Support high availability and disaster recovery for critical network services.
- Support wireless networking, including WiFi and WAPs.
- Participate in incident response, on-call support, RCA, war-room troubleshooting, and vendor coordination.
- Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, runbooks, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on network engineering experience, with demonstrated experience supporting enterprise core infrastructure environments.
- Strong expertise in Cisco enterprise networking, including routing, switching, and data center networking.
- Experience with enterprise SD-WAN technologies such as VMware VeloCloud, Cisco Viptela, Meraki, or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with F5 load balancing technologies and application delivery services.
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and broader network security operations, including segmentation, VPN, and secure remote access.
- Experience supporting Azure networking services, including ExpressRoute and hybrid cloud connectivity.
- Experience with network automation and infrastructure as code using Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring and observability tools such as SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, Dynatrace, Wireshark, NetFlow, and syslog analysis.
- Experience working in regulated enterprise environments such as healthcare, financial services, or similarly controlled industries.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills, including the ability to provide executive-ready updates and mentor junior team members.
- Experience working in 24x7 production support / enterprise infrastructure support environments.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
- Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
