Requirements

- Experience in a manufacturing environment; previous experience as an Assembler is preferred.
- Ability to use basic computer programs.
- Ability to read and understand detailed work order instructions and blueprints.
- Basic math skills and understanding how to use measuring tools.
- Strong attention to detail.

Essential Functions
- Read and understand detailed work order instructions.
- Verify correct parts are pulled prior to assembly.
- Sort defective and usable parts; adjust slightly defective parts.
- Adjust core assembly machine as needed.
- Assemble cores and fit parts to close tolerances per AKG standards.
- Bind completed cores and perform quality checks.
- Document and label completed and incomplete cores.
- Meet production quotas provided by Lead or Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Report any issues to the Supervisor or appropriate personnel.
- Follow all policies and procedures under AKG’s Environmental Management System (EMS).
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand (90%) and walk (10%) of the time; may also bend, stoop, pull, push, twist, and turn.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs (20% of the time).
- Must wear required PPE: steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves.
