LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Cord Blood Collections Manager in Gainesville, FL. This role oversees cord blood collection operations, staff leadership, hospital relationships, and outreach initiatives supporting the LifeSouth Cellular Therapies program.
Responsibilities
- Oversee cord blood collection operations, recruitment efforts, and collection site performance
- Lead onboarding, training, scheduling, and development of collection staff
- Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, physician offices, and community partners
- Monitor collection goals, operational metrics, and program growth initiatives
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and documentation procedures
- Identify operational concerns and implement process improvements and corrective actions as needed
- Support donor recruitment efforts, outreach initiatives, presentations, and community events
- Assist with audits, inspections, reporting, and quality improvement activities
- Review operational reports, supply requests, inventory needs, and departmental documentation
- Collaborate with internal leadership teams to support the success of the Cellular Therapies program
- Represent LifeSouth and the Cord Blood Program in a professional and positive manner
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a business or healthcare-related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Three years of management or supervisory experience required
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to build relationships with hospitals, physician offices, donors, and community partners
- Ability to manage multiple projects and operational priorities effectively
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
- Valid driver’s license required and must meet LifeSouth driver eligibility requirements
- Previous sales, recruitment, outreach, and/or healthcare experience preferred
- Knowledge of regulatory, quality, and compliance standards preferred

Pay
Base starting salary range $64,000 - $70,400 per year.
