Copywriter
About the role
This is not a job for a good writer. It's not even a job for a great writer. We're looking for a world-class writer—someone whose instinct for language, rhythm, and persuasion is matched only by their strategic instincts and relentless standards. As our Copywriter, you'll be the go-to person for every word that Camunda puts into the world. You'll operate at scale—powered by AI tools and cross-functional collaboration—producing content that cuts through a crowded enterprise technology market and actually gets remembered.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Camunda's primary writer across all content types—web, thought leadership, emails, product messaging, sales collateral, ads, and more. Bring a sharp strategic lens to every asset, not just a writing one.
- Headline and Hook Mastery: Write headlines, subject lines, and opening hooks that are among the best in the industry. Know what makes someone stop, read, and act—and execute it consistently.
- AI-Augmented Output: Leverage AI tools fluently to work at scale without sacrificing quality. Use technology to amplify your craft, not replace it.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product marketing, sales, and leadership to gather information, understand audiences, and ensure content is accurate, compelling, and on-brand.
- Business-Value Messaging: Translate complex enterprise technology concepts into clear, human, business-value-driven narratives. Our buyers are business leaders, not developers—write accordingly.
- SEO and AEO: Ensure all content is structured and written to perform for both human readers and search/AI engine discovery. You understand how the modern content ecosystem works and write to win in it.
- Content Operations: Own the content library. Keep assets organized, up to date, and consistently tracked. Define and maintain measurement frameworks so performance is always visible and actionable.
Requirements
- Based in the United States (highly preferred for this role).
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working in or alongside a marketing team in an enterprise SaaS or technology company.
- Ability and/or willingness to explore and use Camunda's product.
Compensation
We offer competitive, fair, and transparent compensation. Salary ranges are location-based, with Standard and Major markets (global tech hubs) reflecting local competition. The Annual Total Target Cash (base salary + 100% variable target, where applicable) shown below spans from the minimum in a Standard market to the maximum in a Major market. Final offers depend on skills, experience, and location, and we typically hire in the first half of the range to allow room for growth:
- United States: $100,500.00 to $162,000.00
- United Kingdom: £63,100.00 to £103,800.00
- Singapore: S$124,800.00 to S$187,100.00
