About the role

Bakery is an independent creative and culture agency based in Austin, TX. We work with ambitious brands to infuse cultural value and drive desire through various media, aiming to increase brand fandom and help them create products people want.

Responsibilities

  • Implement a combination of strategic, conceptual, and writing skills to deliver persuasive stories and copy to clients and their audience.
  • Create engaging scripts and UX tracks for film, social/digital campaigns, animation, or live experiences.
  • Deliver impressive presentations, advocating for our work while listening to feedback to exceed expectations.
  • Manage the creative process, ensuring smooth flow and continuous optimization of all creative work.
  • Inspire and motivate your creative team to execute large-scale, cross-channel projects that are creatively brilliant and strategically on point, on time, and on budget.
  • Be an active part of the company culture, bringing fresh ideas consistently to your team and your Director, even when not attached to a client brief.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of professional experience crafting high-quality written content, stories, and concepts within a creative agency or entertainment environment.
  • Impressive online portfolio showcasing a proven track record of conceptual creative ability and judgment across a variety of projects, particularly in film, social, and web content, for top-tier clients.
  • Expertise in campaign development and execution, with a strong ability to collaborate with others without ego getting in the way of creative development.
  • A confident yet respectful nature, ready to suggest new ideas and accept feedback.
  • Strong understanding of what a good creative brief is and how to push back or request revisions when necessary.
  • Strong copy editing and proofing skills, paying attention to small details in both copy decks and designs.
  • Experience developing successful concepts in collaborative multi-disciplinary teams.
  • A strong understanding of marketing plans, including objectives, business strategies, and success measurements, and how to apply this knowledge to client challenges.
  • Senior-level client presentation ability, capable of leading and mentoring other writers.
  • General knowledge of tech platforms and their limitations.
