About the role
The role involves leading shifts in a McDonald’s restaurant operated by an independent franchisee. This franchisee is a separate entity from McDonald’s USA and is solely responsible for employment matters.
Responsibilities
- Lead shifts to ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience.
- Provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift.
- Plan for each shift and monitor performance during the shift.
- Ensure the team meets McDonald’s standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
- Maintain safety, security, and profitability during the shift.
- Communicate with the next Shift Manager to help prepare him/her for the next shift.
- Meet targets during the shift and assist in meeting Department goals.
- Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
- Ensure exceptional customer service.
- Manage crew effectively.
- Manage food safety.
- Manage internal communication.
- Manage scheduling.
- Train crew members.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A flexible schedule and the ability to adapt to the demands of the job.
