Volunteer Opportunity

Looking for volunteers with heart to help us teach tennis to kids with autism in Portland, OR!

No tennis experience is necessary! Our goal is to help these children learn socializing skills, fine & gross motor skills, and gain interest in fitness, which means we have a focus on fun.

Responsibilities

• Receive training
• Be paired with a participant to help them through the motions of the game of tennis through various drills and games
• Help participants learn socializing skills, fine & gross motor skills, and gain interest in fitness
• Form a bond and friendship with participants over the course of the session

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new teaching methods
• Positive attitude and ability to work with children
• Ability to be patient and supportive
