This full-time, 1st Shift position is based in Rockledge, FL.

Responsibilities

  • Support the CARE values of the organization.
  • Commit to producing a quality product for our customers.
  • Use orbital sander to sand and clean drawers and doors to smooth surface and correct any deficiencies.
  • Prepare surface for paint/stain using appropriate hand tools.
  • Feel surface of sanded article and visually inspect to verify quality of finished workpieces.
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor.
  • Read labels and instructions carefully and ensure completed pieces are placed correctly on rack by order.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.
  • Completes and maintains documentation for parts.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be able to operate orbital sander and other hand tools.
  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills as well as strong basic math skills.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time while performing repetitive motions.
  • 2+ years related experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail, accountability to self and others, and interdepartmental communication.
  • Must be able to lift/move in excess of 50 lbs. at a time.
  • Stand, walk, stoop, and perform motions for an extended period.
  • PPE: Safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes at all times while on the production floor.

Work environment

Non-air-conditioned environments; hazardous materials such as paints, stains and solvents; machinery, conveyors, spray-booths and drying racks.
