About Partly
The global replacement parts market is worth $1.9 trillion, yet much of the industry still runs on spreadsheets, phone calls, and outdated systems. We're building the infrastructure that modernizes how parts are sourced and procured—think Stripe, but for automotive parts. Backed by Blackbird Ventures (Canva, Culture Amp), Square Peg, and Octopus Ventures, with personal investment from Dylan Field (Figma) and Akshay Kothari (Notion), Partly has tripled its team over the past year, achieved product-market fit, and powers hundreds of businesses worldwide. Our engineering roots come from Rocket Lab, and we're now scaling into the U.S. market.
About the role
The Sales Representative, Mid-Market, USA will lead Partly's expansion into the independent automotive and collision shop market starting in Dallas, TX, reporting to the Head of Sales, USA. This is an in-person, territory-owned field role where you will engage directly with shop owners and operators—walking into shops, earning conversations, and driving adoption from cold to active. You will shape the sales playbook, test messaging, and prove a scalable model for the U.S. mid-market. This is a first-hire role with significant influence over how we approach this segment.
Responsibilities
- Full-cycle sales: Own the process from walk-in to close, including in-person drop-ins, discovery meetings, platform demos, and signing founding partners.
- Own your territory: Build and manage relationships with shop owners and operators, leveraging local networks to open doors.
- Translate tech to value: Explain how Partly solves real problems like saving time on invoicing, managing supplier relationships, and reducing manual data entry.
- Speak the shop's language: Understand shop workflows—estimating, sourcing OEM/aftermarket/recycled parts, and DRP scorecards—and translate that into practical value.
- Consultative selling: Handle objections confidently and work with customers to address their pain points and processes.
- High-velocity hunting: Execute consistent outbound activity to generate your own pipeline, balancing volume and quality.
- Collaborate: Work with RevOps (deal tracking and analytics) and Onboarding to ensure smooth handoffs and fast time-to-value for new customers.
- Pipeline discipline: Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene, forecast accurately, and keep a tight next-step cadence across active opportunities. Identify patterns (objections, blockers, feature requests) and feed them back to Product and GTM teams.
Skills
- Commercial DNA: 2-4+ years of proven, high-velocity B2B sales experience in field, territory, or SaaS roles. Collision or independent automotive industry experience is a strong plus.
- Field credibility: Ability to walk into a blue-collar shop, build trust quickly, and communicate genuinely.
- Territory owner mentality: Thrive with autonomy, manage a region, build local relationships, and make sound decisions independently.
- Comfortable in ambiguity: See opportunity in building systems from the ground up and contribute to their development.
- Resilient & proactive: Handle rejection well, turn objections into ROI conversations, and maintain high activity levels (road/phone).
- Process driven: Manage a high-velocity pipeline without losing detail and suggest improvements when needed.
- Technically curious: Learn shop operations (inventory, invoicing, supplier relationships) and translate them into practical implementation steps.
- Ownership: Proactive, resourceful, and accountable for outcomes.
If you don’t meet all the listed skills/experience but believe you’d excel in this role, we encourage you to apply—especially if you’re from an underrepresented or marginalized group.
