ACCEL Schools is seeking a highly qualified Intervention Specialist at Cleveland College Preparatory School in Cleveland, Ohio. The school serves the Slavic Village community and surrounding neighborhoods, offering a structured, well-rounded education that includes arts and social-emotional learning. Families return to the school due to its engaged leadership, memorable traditions, and extensive extracurricular programs. About the Opportunity
The Intervention Specialist supports the educational and behavioral goals of all students, with a focus on those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Key responsibilities include:
- Working cooperatively with classroom teachers, interpreting student abilities and disabilities, and assisting with classroom intervention strategies.
- Conducting diagnostic assessments for instruction.
- Conducting functional behavior assessments and writing/implementing behavior improvement plans.
- Facilitating IEP meetings and writing IEP goals and objectives.
- Utilizing research-based best practices in daily planning and instruction.
- Integrating culturally responsive teaching practices into daily lessons and interactions.
- Serving as an advisor for a designated set of students.
- Communicating regularly with families about their child's academic and social-emotional growth.
- Participating in non-instructional activities such as social events and field trips.
Other duties as assigned.
About You
To be considered for this role, you should currently hold a state license. Experience working in a full-room inclusion or co-teaching model in a resource room is preferred. You should also have:
- Knowledge of state standards and common core standards.
- A high level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- The ability to work independently and contribute to a team.
- The ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
- Experience working in a multi-cultural setting.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $37,000 - 50,000. Starting pay may vary based on factors such as location, skills, education, and experience.
