About the role

We are seeking a Copier Service Technician in Richmond, VA who combines mechanical expertise with exceptional customer service skills. Ideal candidates are problem solvers who can work independently and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches.
  • Manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks.
  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports.
  • Follow all company procedures and protocols.
  • Cooperate with the technical team and share information across the organization.
  • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
  • Build positive relationships with customers.
  • Works as part of a cohesive team within the shop to meet customer needs.
  • Follows all safety practices of the organization when completing work assignments.
  • Maintains company vehicles, inventory, and tools in proper working condition.
  • Maintain knowledge on existing products and pursue additional technical and product knowledge by actively participating in training programs.
  • Maintains communication with the customer and answers questions related to the work being performed.
  • Makes recommendations for additional work that needs to be completed.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to manage service calls that require more time than anticipated without becoming frustrated or rushing through a job.
  • Superb customer service skills and an ability to diagnose and solve problems from non-technical descriptions provided by customers.

  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Extremely reliable and trustworthy.
