Responsibilities
- Diagnose and Repair: Repair garage doors, operators, replace worn or broken parts, install new equipment (including doors), and replace springs.
- Educate Customers: Explain repair options and preventive measures in detail, ensuring customers understand the work performed.
- Sell Services and Equipment: Use our proven model to sell services to customers (good/better/best) and collect payments.
- Manage Inventory: Keep your vehicle stocked with the right equipment, tools, and products to complete repairs and sales.
- Maximize Time: Efficiently manage your schedule to assist as many customers as possible, directly impacting your income.
- Quality Work: Ensure jobs are done correctly the first time to impress customers and secure positive feedback.
- Safety Commitment: Work and drive safely at all times.
Requirements
- Mechanical Aptitude: Must have technical and mechanical skills.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds independently, bend, climb, kneel, and stand for long periods. Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold, including in garages without temperature control.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills to interact with customers and resolve problems effectively.
- Work Ethic: Reliable, able to follow processes, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Skills: Comfortable using computers/tablets, hand tools, and mechanical equipment. Prior garage door industry experience is preferred but not required.
Pay and Benefits
- Competitive Salary: Earn between $60,000 and $100,000 per year. During the 90-day training period, you'll receive a base hourly pay. After training, earnings are commission-based.
