Responsibilities
- Lead video production for FAMU Athletics, including promotional, recruiting, feature, highlight, in-venue, streaming, and social media content, while managing the full production process from concept through final delivery;
- Serve as lead photographer for competitions, practices, events, headshots, and feature shoots, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality images;
- Manage and maintain organized, searchable video and photo archives, including appropriate backup, tagging, delivery, and rights-compliant use of creative assets;
- Develop and execute platform-specific social media content and live event coverage to increase audience growth, engagement, reach, and brand visibility;
- Monitor athletics social media accounts, brand consistency, content standards, and performance analytics, using data to inform strategy and demonstrate impact.
Requirements
- Uphold FAMU Athletics brand standards across all creative content and collaborate with coaches, communications, marketing, development, ticketing, multimedia rights partners, and university stakeholders to support departmental priorities;
- Ensure all content complies with applicable NCAA, SWAC, university, brand, and name, image, and likeness (NIL) requirements;
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise student creatives, graduate assistants, interns, freelancers, and other assigned personnel;
- Manage creative workflows and coverage assignments across a multi-sport calendar while maintaining cameras, production equipment, software, licensing, and other creative resources;
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of FAMU Athletics’ brand, revenue, engagement, and student-athlete experience objective.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of related experience; or master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization.
Recommended Competencies
- Extensive Experience in creative software (Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere, After Effects, Media Encoder, and Photoshop);
- Extensive experience in creative lighting, audio and video capture;
- Prior experience working with collegiate and/or professional sports programs in a creative role;
- Proven ability to build relationships, collaborate, and work effectively with various constituents;
- Excellent communication and organizational skills;
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment;
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment serving numerous constituents;
- Experience developing a creative identity and robust social presence.
Pay
This is an Administrative and Professional (A&P) position. The pay plan is not specified in the job posting.
