About the Role
Join our friendly and compassionate Ultrasound team at Ogden Regional Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare. As an Ultrasound Coordinator, you will provide first-line supervision of Ultrasound personnel and coordinate activities within both the General and Women’s Ultrasound departments. You will ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and manage activities related to ACR accreditation. Additionally, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound tests on patients of all age groups, scanning pelvic or abdominal areas, internal organs, fluid accumulations, masses, fetal development, peripheral vascular, and cardiac areas.
This role requires strong interpersonal skills to explain procedures to patients and alleviate apprehensions. You will assess and provide care appropriate to patients of all ages, demonstrating knowledge and skills in interpreting information based on patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Ultrasound personnel and coordinate departmental activities for General and Women’s Ultrasound.
- Coordinate activities for ACR accreditation and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound tests on patients of all age groups, including pelvic, abdominal, vascular, and cardiac scans.
- Obtain and interpret information about internal organs, fluid accumulations, masses, fetal development, and peripheral vascular areas.
- Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns to alleviate apprehension.
- Assess and provide age-appropriate care for all patients.
Requirements
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Associate Degree must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
