Coordinator Transportation
About the role
This position supports Supply Chain and the Distribution Center, focusing on yard management, carrier communication, store communication, and outbound shipping operations using a Transportation Management System (TMS).
Responsibilities
- Follow proper processes for warehouse administrative duties as outlined by the Warehouse Logistics Manager.
- Perform record keeping for inspections, audits, and all other files.
- Communicate with stores, carriers, store support personnel, and dray providers on inbound and outbound shipments.
- Coordinate with team members to resolve conflicts and issues.
- Cook with team members to coordinate with drayage providers for daily inbound container deliveries based on priority.
- Receive shipment tenders from store support planning team and work with warehouse operations to plan weekly shipments with carriers.
- Ship and track outbound shipments to stores and troubleshoot delivery issues.
- Work with the rail yard to deliver proper rail car equipment based on outbound orders.
- Support operations via WMS/TMS system entry.
- Promote tenders to warehouse operations to begin wave picking orders in the warehouse.
- Promote tenders to assign shipments to domestic carriers based on capacity and system parameters.
- Promote/delete backlog of shipments to provide E3 replenishment system with clarity for building shipments each day.
- Engage in ongoing training and learning sessions to maximize results.
- Plan and timing between operations team and their logistics team.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
- Proven problem-solving and team building skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Able to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay
Hourly, with potential for overtime.

Working Conditions
- Exposure to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.
- Moderate to noisy noise level in the work environment.
- Physical Work – Ability to exert 30 – 60 pounds of force occasionally, and or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

Store Support Center Associates
- Provide leadership and support training on all Safety programs, processes, and procedures, ensuring that every associate is properly trained for their position.
- Follow established Safety procedures in all aspects of work assignments applicable to the position.
- Participate in all Safety related training and acquire certifications.
- Responsible for Safety at the Store Support Center and when visiting other company work locations.
- All Safety concerns must be brought to the attention of the management of a location and/or the Store Support Center Safety Department immediately.
