Job Description The Team We are seeking a Regulatory Compliance Environmental Coordinator to join American Tower’s U.S. Tower division’s Legal team. The team ensures that the appropriate level of environmental review is completed to address both the Federal Communication Commission’s National Environmental Policy Act’s (“NEPA”) requirements and the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act’s (“CERCLA”) due diligence considerations for wireless facility development and redevelopment. Day to day you will triage project review/information requests and track notable points of the compliance review and field assessment services process. You will enter into multiple systems and interpret and validate, as needed, compliance-related data and documentation. As a Regulatory Compliance Coordinator, you will partner cross-functionally to monitor internal project timelines and ensure external project milestones are met. Responsibilities What You Can Offer Us Evaluate for NEPA compliance and CERCLA due diligence attention antenna facility projects including redevelopment, land, built-to-suit, and DAS projects and also tower acquisition deals. Process NEPA and CERCLA information requests from internal and external customers. Correspond with internal project teams to collect project data and order compliance assessment services. Track environmental services to ensure the timely completion of records research, field investigation, consultation, and reporting. Review and approve draft and final environmental services deliverables; escalate for advanced services deliverables. Serve as the primary reviewer for environmental services change orders, escalating for secondary approval when necessary. Attend regularly scheduled project deployment calls and meetings focused on project review, continuous improvement, interdependencies, and team training. Generate appropriate action items. Coordinate compliance-related data and document exchange with key external customers. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications What You Need to Succeed Associates degree or bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science & Policy or similar field strongly preferred.Project tracking, database management and file management experience strongly preferred.Wireless telecommunications industry experience and knowledge of environmental regulatory practices preferred.Knowledge of Oasis, Oracle and Remedy software program preferred.Approximately 5% travel may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
