Make a difference as a Coordinator in the Quotations Department, supporting the team and branch management to provide accurate and timely costing, quoting, pricing, and technical information based on customer specifications. You will conduct research and analysis of product lines and manufacturing capabilities to generate profitable quotations and secure repeat business.
Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates of materials for internal and external customers.
- Compile bills of material using knowledge of products to be manufactured; itemize tools, fixtures, or equipment to be purchased from outside sources.
- Consult with factories and representatives to obtain best-cost information; compute cost estimates; and audit manufacturers’ bills of material.
- Conduct extensive research to identify customer requirements, performance standards, product specifications, and manufacturing alternatives prior to submitting quotations.
- Analyze competitors’ products and services to identify strategic opportunities that enhance the organization’s competitive ability.
- Complete and submit accurate and thorough technical quotations against tight customer deadlines based on technical specifications.
- Support the change order process and job lot billing in some branches.
- Periodically issue lists of quotes (used or to be used) and take-offs required by sales employees.
- Support Corporate, district, and branch initiatives regarding specific sales promotional opportunities.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending specialized training, reviewing publications, and establishing personal networks with customers, suppliers, and manufacturers.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience required (experience requirements are at the discretion of the hiring manager).
- 2+ years of experience preferred in sales, negotiations, pricing, and building relationships.
- 2-year degree preferred.
- Knowledge of multiple product lines and pricing strategies to generate profitable quotations.
- Knowledge of SAP programs used to support the Quotations process.
- Understanding of logistics strategies.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Negotiation skills.
- Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to project a positive and professional image on behalf of the Company.

- Some travel required.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm.
Pay
The expected rate of pay for this position is $36.00 per hour, depending on experience.
