About the Role

As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) at Alaska Regional Hospital, you will ensure and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate all functions in the unit/department during your designated shift. In collaboration with the management team, you will direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Participate in ongoing assessments of patient care services in collaboration with the management team.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to foster a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes and service.
• Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
• Operationalize nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives to improve engagement.
• Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
• Recommend and implement courses of action for training, conflict resolution, policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Support proper inventory control and manage supplies and equipment.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• One or more years of OR Circulating experience.
• One or more years of demonstrated leadership experience (strongly preferred).
