About the role
The Oncology Program Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Director of Oncology Quality and Accreditations and the Medical Director of the assigned disease site to coordinate program activities in order to achieve and maintain the highest clinical outcomes and a superior patient experience. This person is responsible for development, maintenance, and implementation activities relating to quality improvement and data management, outreach and marketing, clinical practice standards, and utilization of support services. The Oncology Program Coordinator designs, implements, and evaluates system-wide program components for each clinical entity within the scope of the assigned oncology program.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, direct, and control activities of an organization, department, or service within or across a hospital or similar entity
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, providers, and other allied health professionals
- Coordinate program activities to achieve and maintain high clinical outcomes and patient experience
- Develop, maintain, and implement quality improvement and data management initiatives
- Oversee outreach and marketing efforts
- Design, implement, and evaluate system-wide program components for clinical entities within the assigned oncology program
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of management experience in business or healthcare-related services
- Strong administrative, management, and supervisory experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Previous work experience in oncology
- Physician practice, ambulatory care, surgery, or oncology management experience (preferred)
