Key Responsibilities
- Carris out the administrative duties related to his/her main job requirements such as emails, phone calls, forms submittals, etc.
- Responds to the needs of parishes by providing prompt response, or training for parish leaders or formation for couples.
- Coodinates, runs and supports different activities related to marriage, family and fertility awareness, mainly under the format of workshops.
- Runs and coordinates communication campaigns through different media channels.
- Coodinates the Diocesan Wedding Anniversary Mass.
- Participates and leads people in prayer and worship.
- Proclaims the Gospel with word and action and shares the kerygma intentionally.
- Participates in and leads other Office of Evangelization and Discipleship activities when needed.
- Coodinates the preparation and submittal of financial forms on behalf of the department of Marriage and Family Life.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Family Studies, or related area is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in pastoral ministry (Parish or Diocesan level).
- Knowledge of and commitment to Catholic teachings, practices, and the mission of the Diocese.
- Professional demeanor reflective of the values and mission of the Diocese of Raleigh.
- Demonstrated experience in event organization.
- Excellent written/oral skills and public speaking experience.
- Able to work effectively with a wide diversity of ethnic backgrounds.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and open to learning new ministry-related technologies.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours (evenings/weekends) as needed.
- Discretion and prudence in maintaining confidentiality with sensitive information.
- Customer Service oriented.
