Coordinator of EOP and College Advising Services
About the role
The Coordinator of EOP and College Advising Services provides comprehensive academic advisement for all students assigned to the College of Arts, Media, and Communication (CAMC) Student Services Center/Educational Opportunity Program (SSC/EOP).
Responsibilities
- Coordinates activities related to monitoring EOP student transition and academic progress.
- Follows up with students and responds to faculty alerts.
- Affords assistance to the Director of College Advising and Student Services Professional IV with first year advisement for all incoming first-time freshmen and transfers.
- Represents the SSC/EOP satellite and CAMC at on and off-campus events, recruitment activities, and on university committees.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in a related field.
- Upper division or graduate course work in counseling techniques, interviewing, and conflict resolution, where such are job related, is preferred.
- Three years of progressively responsible professional student services work experience; including one year in Student Services preferred.
- A Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a directly related field may be substituted for one year of experience.
- Additional specialized and relevant experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

- Knowledge of academic advisement practices and student development principles.
- Ability to analyze student records and recommend appropriate academic actions.
- Skill in developing student success plans and intervention strategies.
- Ability to coordinate programs and manage multiple advising initiatives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for diverse student populations.
- Ability to interpret and apply university policies and procedures.

Pay
The anticipated HIRING RATE is $5540 per month. The salary range for this classification is: $5,540 - $7,893 per month.
Schedule
HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday. May include evenings and weekends. This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period. The position is currently hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote); however, this is subject to change based on student and/or operational needs.
